The Proposal

It was July 2006; we'd been apart for a further four months as we made the lengthy transition from living in Canada to living in England. On July 19th Rachel flew back to Canada to be reunited with Curtis and to help him make the big move. Curtis borrowed a friend's car and made the eight hour drive from Peace River to Calgary, sneakily buying the engagement ring on the way. We were reunited at the Arrivals gate in Calgary airport and made our way to our hotel in Edmonton, three hours away, where we were to spend the night before travelling up to Peace River the next day. We had a room booked in the Crowne Plaza Chateau Lacombe in downtown Edmonton, opposite the very apartment building we'd lived in when Rachel first moved to Canada. It was there, on that night, that Curtis proposed. We couldn't be happier.

The Engagement Ring

Curtis knows Rachel's taste perfectly! The engagement ring is a beautiful white gold band set in a half-eternity style with twelve brilliant cut diamonds.
